Hiding the taskbar allows your apps to take up the full screen without having it in the way. When you move your mouse off the taskbar, it will automatically hide again. If you move your mouse down to the bottom of the screen, the taskbar will pop up right away. There will also be a “sliver” of the taskbar that appears at the bottom. Note that when you close out of Settings, the taskbar will appear briefly and automatically hide again. Then check the box labeled “Automatically hide the taskbar,” and you’ll see the taskbar disappear. Next, scroll down and click on the Taskbar behaviors ( Taskbar alignment, badging, automatically hide, and multiple displays) dropdown menu.

Scroll down the list and click on the Taskbar: “ Taskbar behaviors, system pins” button. The Settings page will open to the “Personalization” section. To do that, right-click the taskbar and click on the Taskbar settings button that pops up. To get started, you need to open Taskbar settings.
